This is beautiful. My parents have similar scars. I’m still working through my stuff, since I was 5 and 7 when my first two siblings died. My brain has blocked those times, so I rely on my parents for stories. I’m in a mixed up time right now and this was really great to read.

This was so beautiful! What joyous moments of healing and community to cherish amongst the hardships. Such a good reminder that we may have bad days but not every moment is bad and there can be something to celebrate in the sadness, in the scars and in the healing. Hope you’re feeling better!
