Oh my gosh dude. I’m sitting outside the hotel crying. You used my favorite line - “friend who feels like home.” Love you. Thank you. Thanks for sharing your world with me. I’ll tell you this in person in two minutes when you pick me up.

@levi - that line hit me too - placed perfectly in the story too. It cheered my spirit to get a little glimpse into a day that mattered. Friendship and superficial free conversations are the best. B x

The best times involve talking nonsense, laughing till we cry and also talking about the stuff that matters most. There’s time and space for all of that. B.

I have recently realised that my best friend is a friend who feels like home to me too, and I'm so lucky because she holds space for me to reach out if I ever need to, and recently I confided some of my trauma memories with her that I haven't shared with anyone other than therapists but I was surprised to have such a supportive response, it's not the kind of thing I'm used to but I'm certainly grateful for it.

So good to hear! We all need friends who feel like home. They remind us who we are and how rich this life can be.

Thank you Jamie. That's so very true. I haven't always had that so I feel lucky to have it now for sure.

This is so beautiful. It has me missing my friend, who feels like home, Martha, who lives in TX. Thank you for sharing the Inlet with us. Having grown up in a blended family, I love how you embraced those three children and shared the cove with them.

Thanks for these kind words. I hope you get to connect with Martha soon. 😊

I sincerely hope I find someone who accepts my kiddos the way you embraced the three daughters!
