Getting back to writing has felt really good, but it’s safe to say I’ve been missing the road. There are a couple speaking events on the horizon and I’m really looking forward to these chances to communicate. Early next month I’ll be in Abingdon, Virginia for Help Hope Healing, a conference hosted by Mount Rogers Community Services. In late September I’ll head to Monroe, Louisiana for an event at Phoenix Rising Counseling Center. Both will include Q&A and I promise to bring some merch as well. There are more dates in the works, thanks to the amazing team at Collective Speakers.
September is Suicide Prevention Awareness Month. Sunday, September 10 is World Suicide Prevention Day and it’s also the start of National Suicide Prevention Week in America. As always, if I can be of service I would love to come deliver a message of compassion, encouragement, resources, and hope. In-person or virtual, keynote or workshop, big or small—the folks at Collective can help make it happen. If you’re interested, please reach out to Sean Lawton: sean@collectivespeakers.com
Join me one week from today (Wednesday, July 26) for “I Need to Find My Confidence,” a small-group conversation that seeks to explore a subject we’re all affected by but don’t often get to talk about.
I’m really enjoying the one-on-one coaching and consulting work lately. If you’re curious, you can learn more here.
It’s been sweet seeing Ever Get Home posters and shirts make their way out into the world. You can find them along with signed copies of If You Feel Too Much in my online store.
I saw Willie Nelson on his 90th birthday tour in May with my best friend. The title made me think of that and I needed that kind of joy today.
Get out in the world, Jamie. Your words are needed. And you are, too.
